It’s hot here in Vienna.
Sometimes I think the sun will melt my brain – or at least that is what momma says when I am laying in the sun for hours…
I am a little bit worried that she might be right in this case.
Momma also told me that it is very impawtent to trink lots when it’s hot outside so that we do not de-hy-drate – dunno what that is but must be really scary …
I think I gonna have a sip from my favourite water bowl right now – just in case momma is right about this de-hy… thingy

Hmmm… Othello, I fink there’s sumfin growin in yur favoritest water bowl. An it don’t look like cat grass or nip! Stay hide-rated, but don’t drink sumfin bad fur you neither. Purrs!

the green fing is a waterplant which is normally used for fish tanks. it doesn’t harm cats when the eat it but we didn’t taste it so far.

Othello refused to drink from water bowls with fresh water.
Paul loved to drink form my well on the PC table but Othello was scared of the flowing water so he refused to drink there too.
I bought several bigger bowls and talked to my vet wether I could use fish tank waterplants and stones or sand to attract him and get him to drink more.
It works very well. Most of the time the plants do not grow that high, so normally they don’t peek out of the water.
Now the bowls are placed all over the flat. Othello and Kashim seem happy with them and drink a lot.
That’s neat bowl you are drinking out of Othello. Very interesting plants and your tongue is so cute.
